While still offering our own structures for sale, the Kayam has now agreed an alliance with an Italian manufacturer and engineer for new design and build work.
From a tradition which has supplied tents to most of the world’s major circuses over many years, Italian tensile designers and manufacturers are now producing some of the most exciting and innovative developments in tensile construction.
Additionally the very competitive market in Italy enables us to achieve lower manufacture costs with arguably higher standards of finish.

*With a base at the heart of the Italian tensile structure industry, we can ensure access to, and a thorough working knowledge of, all the latest engineering developments, new materials and techniques available in both Italy and the UK.
*Increased manufacture capacity and the automated manufacture capabilities will ensure faster delivery times and a high quality and realistically priced product.
With our existing UK design and manufacture links which produced the Kayam and Valhalla, we can now offer a truly flexible and versatile design and build service, yet still maintain Kayam’s all important personal attention to every detail in the design, manufacture and installation of new structures.
Project Development:
Our staff have long experience in the design and operation of a multitude of temporary UK venues at events including Edinburgh Festival, the World Student Games, London Docklands Festival and at the Glastonbury Festival, as well as providing venues for all kinds of events throughout Europe. Over the years Kayam staff have contributed to the development of many UK regulations and guidelines for the event industry (including the UK “Pop Code”).

A civil structural engineer with a PhD in special structures (University of Trento) heading a young and dynamic company of engineers and architects with extensive experience in special structure design and numerical modeling development.
Working with several major names in the field of tensile design and able to call upon the services of specialist engineers and technicians world wide.
Manufacture & installation:
Martin Peers
Operations manger for various tent companies since 1985 and director of Kayam since 1993, where he has overseen manufacture and installation of temporary venues around the world.
His team have a wide practical experience of installation and operation of temporary structures to very exacting requirements. Their input into every stage of a project and constant attention to all manufacture details will ensure that structures don’t just look amazing, but also perform efficiently and practically in day to day use.
